: the Robe

Avalokiteśvara bodhisattva wears a robe made of coarsely woven white silk. The robe is so translucent that it allows the skin of the bodhisattva to be seen. The cloth has a clear white hemp-leaf pattern (麻葉紋) and a beautiful golden honeysuckle arabesque pattern is drawn above it. Also, Avalokiteśvara wears a luxurious bracelet with inlaid jewels.
